Matrimony

 

We believe that marriage is sacred set aside by God as a union between man and a woman (Genesis 2:22-24, Romans 7:1-2, Matthew 19:1-6) from the foundation of the world. It is a life that God have set aside to be honorable (Hebrews 13:4) "for he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth God favor" (Proverbs 18:22).

 

We believe that once a couple marry in the lord that they remain married as long as they live. If one should die the other held to that relationship and is free to marry another in the Lord (1 Corinthians 7:39). Jesus puts strong enfaces on staying pure in your marriage for it could lead to separation (Matthew 19:9).

 

We believe a baptized believer should marry someone of like faith and belief.

 

Divorce is more prevalent in the modern age of today as never before and we do not discriminate against anyone that divorces however with the word, give them the knowledge to prevent any recurrence of this sacred matter in Christ and in his Church.
